Jon D. Ponder left prison in 2009 and became the founder of Hope For Prisoners , a non-profit profit organization. His integrity and perseverance in addressing what ex-felons need when they re-enter society has brought him national attention.
The program is unique in that the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department believes in it and has encouraged it's officers to be mentors to ex-felons. The organization not only provides mentoring it provides hope and helps ex-felons with connections to local employers, financial advice and advice they need to re-integrate into society and become a lawful citizen.
